ICANN To Discuss Stability, Security and Internet Growth

Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers, (ICANN) has officially opened its 26th International meeting. The meeting is taking part in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Representatives of tech community, business, government and NGO’s participate in the meetings and workshops. They are set to discuss an important issues related to the ongoing stability, security and growth of the Internet.

Some of the highlights of the ICANN’s meeting include developments in the area of Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), a public meeting of the Security, Stability and Advisory Committee (SSAC) and several meetings of ICANN’s Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC).

ICANN wants to provide a detailed look at the domain registration market. The organization wants governments to participate to discussions so that they can ensure their voice is heard.
