Investing In Antispam And E-Mail Security

I have read today in News.com’s web site that Cisco agreed to pay $830 million to buy an e-mail security company IronPort Systems. This is a huge amount of money and the price of the company says a lot about how serious is the problem with SPAM and e-mail privacy and security.

IronPort is only 6-year old company and it is amazing how it succeeded to create value. The e-mail security gurus have more than ISPs as its clients. Its prodcuts are used for scanning an e-mail messages for spam and viruses.

The company says it has developed a software that rates web links in e-mails to filter out junk messages, including those with links to malicious sites.
