Selling domain names is a good business and it enjoys sunny days. According to Sedo, an online marketplace for the buying and selling of secondary domain names this week’s top domain has been sold for $85,000. it is EmployersDirect.com. The number 2 PBR.com’s price is $35,501.

Domain name market expericensed significant growth in 2005. Sedo analyzed data from 25,000 domain sales which demonstrated significantly increased interest in and value derived from domain names.

The volume of reported domain sales grew by 58% and reached $60 million between 2004 and 2005. During this period, the number of domain names sold increased by 75%, from 9,000 to more than 16,000.
