The world’s leading domain name registrar GoDaddy.com, is transitioning 4.5 million domains to be hosted on Windows(R)-based hosting platform. Upon completion of the migration, Go Daddy will have moved all its parked domains from Linux to the Windows OS.

That means sooner or later Windows would become preferable web hosting platform for the most website owners.

“Microsoft provides an efficient and scalable operating platform, while also providing the performance needed to handle our extraordinary growth.” says the GoDaddy president Warren Adelman.

Microsoft has announced that, the growing number of independent software vendors creating applications for Windows-based hosting enables GoDaddy and other web hosts to introduce new services to its customers easily and cost-effectively.
