Today’s Web Hosting News. Social Tools And Toys

I’ve just did a search on “hostign news” in a few search engines to see that my previous employer Host Color has added social tools to service. They made MediaWiki and Pligg software applications available for use with their hosting plans. I like both platforms as well as HostColor.com, a company that I can recommend to website owners.

In other news DemoWolf, a very popular web hosting tutorial producer announced it released 138 new tutorials. They include 30 end-user items for Helm 4, 30 tutorials for WebHost Manager 11, 49 Russian language tutorials for Plesk 8, and 29 tutorials for Virtuozzo also in Russian. Russians have already come 😉

Another hosting story says that Level 3 will speak to guests of Credit Suisse 2007 Annual Technology Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 27 (“Good luck” from me).

toys.jpgDon’t forget we are at the end of November. That measn we can expect big discounts on web hosting next month. Some companies like Limestone Networks have already shaken the spirit of December. This dedicated hosting provider has annouced “toy drive”.

It said it asked other hosting companies, customers and anyone else to help them to raise several thousand of dollars to buy toys and to collect some. Toys shall be donated to the kids in Dallas area. Nice 🙂
